Springtime is here! 🌱

And that calls for an update email! I know it's been a while since my last update, but I honestly never know how much is too much, so I generally err on the side of "probably not enough updates." 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, a lot is going on over here:

• The Unlikely Show Season One (which officially launched with the new branding in November) was a definite hit, actually charting on Apple Podcast's "Comedy Fiction in the US" chart! 🤯
• Production on Season Two was delayed (due to family health issues) but it is scheduled to start on April 4th.

And a lot more! But alas, I have to get right to the point...

Speaking of Season Two...

I have a couple of announcements and I need your help with something. (More on that below.)

Like I said above, production will resume on April 4th, in about 1.5 weeks! And this time, for the first time EVER, we are going to be rolling into production with the entire season scripted out ahead of time!

This has been a gargantuan effort, and I'm really pleased with how it has turned out so far. I think Season Two will genuinely be the best storytelling and funniest content that we have ever produced. And today I just announced (on our Discord) the first six episode titles:

• S2E1: The Hound of the Haskervilles
• S2E2: Murder on the Rue Moor
• S2E3: Moor Murder, Moor Problems
• S2E4: Tall, Green, and Loathsome
• S2E5: When Cryptids Collide †
• S2E6: Curses, Kingsfoiled Again †
• S2E7: To be announced
• S2E8: To be announced

† (A few of you may already be familiar with these two! And if not, please refer back to my previous email. 😅 It will be presented in two parts this season, along with a few surprises that didn't quite make the cut for the live show.)

Anyway, here are a couple stats to consider for Season Two:

• 8 episodes of pure madness, with an expected/target runtime of about 160 minutes. (Compare that to Season One, which had a runtime of 110 minutes!)
• At least 2 monster encounters. 👀 (Depends on how you count them. Three if you count Riding Squirrels. Random baddie encounters don't count.)
• 1 Snufflefungus Holmes mystery featuring 2 horrific murders. I freaking love it when Snuffy puts on a hat and transforms into a new character. It's like a superpower. Also there's some murders.
• Multiple plot threads concluded. (But not all of them! My word, we need to save something for Season Three...)
• Sincerely hoping for 0 brain injuries this time around. But really no promises.
• Oh, and... 1 end of season cliffhanger. Because I'm evil like that sometimes. 😈

Now, my request for you!

If you've had a chance to listen to Season One, please reply to this email and let me know: What parts were most interesting, confusing, or downright strange? In fact anything notable you'd like me to be aware of.

To put it a bit more bluntly, if you had a creator commentary for Season One, what topics or questions would you like to be addressed??

This would be a great time to go back over Season One if you haven't listened to some of the episodes in a while. And heck, if you haven't listened at all (I get it! Life is busy!) consider this as your perfect opportunity to prepare for Season Two and genuinely help me in the task of creating meaningful new content.
